Africell, a major communication company in the country has made various interventions to the fight against COVID19

Africell has donated Three Brand New Tata Xenon Pickups, 1 tonne of Posho, 1 tonne of rice and 1 tone of Soya beans.

Customer service interventions include;

American Tower Corporation has made a great contribution to the fight against COVID19. The Company has donated UGX 342 Million to assist in purchase of testing kits by the Uganda Virus Research Institute. The contribution was handed over to the Minister of Health, Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng by company MD, Michael Magambo

Vivo Energy Uganda, the distributor and marketer of Shell branded fuels and lubricants in Uganda, has today contributed 50 Million Uganda shillings worth of fuel (about 13,000 litres) to support the mobility of the Ministry of Health Emergency teams countrywide in a bid to further mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

In addition, the company donated hand sanitizers, masks, liquid soaps and other hygiene solutions as precautionary measure against coronavirus worth over 10 million Uganda shillings.

The total support to the Ministry of Health therefore amounts to 60 million Uganda shillings.

Grant Thornton Uganda through the Indian Association of Uganda has so far contributed a tune of UGX 25 Million towards the COVID19 Relief efforts

Stanbic Bank joined the efforts to fight COVID19 and its effects with a huge contribution of UGX 100 Million
