Tendayi Pswarayi, the ERM Lead for Marsh Africa with over 20 years international experience in governance, risk and compliance roles in both the public and private sectors. He has vast experience in the enterprise risk management space that includes designing, development and maintenance of ERM systems and conducting risk management training, assessment workshops and reporting. Tendayi has established and led the role of ERM for a research and technology organization (RTO) in South Africa where he took responsibility of planning, designing and implementing an overall ERM process for the entity. He also Conducted enterprise risk assessment which involved analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business and its processes. Tendayi also has extensive experience developing risk management and risk transfer solutions, client support, and management for the clients as an insurance executive. This included identifying risk needs and determining tailor made insurance solutions via various products and risk management programs that best served and addressed client’s goals and objectives. He has set up an insurance company and had responsibility for ensuring operational efficiency and developing an effective risk management and compliance system. This included negotiating the organisation’s reinsurance treaty programme as part of the internal control environment.
